Spray Tan Prep— FAQ
How should I prepare for my spray tan?
For best results:
Shower and exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment
If you want to shave or wax, do this 24–48 hours prior
Arrive with clean, dry skin
Avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup, perfume, and sunscreen the day of your tan
This allows the solution to absorb evenly and last longer.
Should I exfoliate?
Yes—exfoliation is key.
Exfoliate the day before, not the day of
Focus on dry areas (elbows, knees, ankles, hands, feet)
Avoid oil-based scrubs
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toed shoes (flip flops or slides are best). Tight clothing and light colors can rub or stain while your tan is developing.
Can I work out or shave the day of my tan?
You may work out before your appointment, but please shower afterward
Avoid shaving or waxing the day of—this can cause irritation and uneven color

What can I wear during my spray tan?
Female clients may tan nude or wear anything they feel comfortable in. Disposable options are always available, or you’re welcome to bring your own bottoms, bra, or swimsuit. Your comfort always comes first.
